The one concession most of us have to make with a
high-horsepower Mustang is a fuel pump that’s as loud as the engine itself.
Second Street Speed hopes to remedy that with its new dual Bosch pump,
in-tank setup capable of supporting 1,200 hp. The system (approximately
$1,000 including fuel tank) runs on one pump until a Hobbs switch or
computer function activates the second pump under boost or nitrous. With
most high-horsepower fuel systems, the fuel lines are visible under the rear
bumper, giving away your Mustangs capabilities. Second Street Speed’s kit
keeps your Mustang’s speed capabilities a secret until it’s too late for the
competition. The system uses the stock fuel tank. A single-pump setup
designed for 700hp naturally aspirated and 625hp unnaturally aspirated
Mustangs are available as well.
